During the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour today, IGN’s Eric Goldman had the chance to ask ABC Entertainment Group President Paul Lee about the possibility of more Star Wars TV shows airing on ABC, and his response was pretty encouraging. Here is what Paul Lee had to say:
[blockquote cite=]“I certainly have a glint in my eye. They have a lot on their plate when you look at the features that they’re planning on rolling out for the next few years, but we’ve started conversations with them.”
“It would be nice to use other strong Disney IP besides Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and besides S.H.I.E.L.D. I would love to go there. I’m a particularly fan of Lucasfilm. It’s an amazing world.”[/blockquote]
While he of course didn’t go into specifics of what those conversations with Lucasfilm were about, one can only wonder about the possibilities of what more Star Wars TV shows will be about. Maybe we haven’t heard the last of the live action series after all. Time will tell.
