There’s a new story over at Yahoo! Movies UK, where they are hearing that Disney and Lucasfilm may be venturing into creating some original Netflix content with Star Wars in the future, and the rumor is that the character who may get his own Netflix series first, is Cade Bane from Clone Wars. Here is a portion of the story from Yahoo! Movies UK, where their source talks about the Cade Bane information:

The idea being tossed around right now is a series focusing on Cad Bane from ‘The Clone Wars’. But this is very early talks.  I’ve heard that it’s entirely on its own.”[/blockquote]

Disney has already announced several new Netflix original series for Marvel characters coming soon, so for them to do the same thing would Star Wars would make total sense. We know there will be standalone movies focusing on the bigger characters in the Star Wars universe, but I think getting some Netflix series about some of the characters who we know would probably never get their own movie would be a great idea, with tons of great possibilities for some cool stories. We of course have to wait to get official confirmation from Lucasfilm and Disney to get fully excited about this news, but the possibility of some original Netflix series would definitely be a great new way to get Star Wars content in the future!
