The Padawan Lives: The Return of Ahsoka Tano Video

A new  video was posted over at the official Star Wars YouTube page today, where we get to see a cool documentary about the history of Ahsoka Tano to get us even more hyped up for the season two premiere of “Star Wars Rebels!”

The video includes new interviews with Ashley Eckstein and Dave Filoni as they discuss Ahsoka’s time as a padawan in “The Clone Wars,” and now as a Rebel leader in “Star Wars Rebels!” And even keep a look out for some cool new footage!

Be sure not to miss the “Star Wars Rebels” season two premiere when it airs on Disney XD, June 20th.

Gary Whitta Writing A Star Wars Rebels Episode

Writer Gary Whitta has revealed in a tweet that he is currently writing an upcoming episode of “Star Wars Rebels.”

Gary Whitta is of course the writer first hired to write the “Rogue One” script before Chris Weitz took over earlier this year, and will no doubt cause speculation amongst us fans if the episode he is writing will connect with “Rogue One” in anyway, as we know both “Star Wars Rebels” and “Rogue One” are during the same time period.

No other info has been revealed about the episode, such as the title or even what season it will be in. It’s likely that it will probably be an episode for season three, as we know season two is well into production, and scripts for these episodes are written well in advance. And if it is for season 3, then that will be real close to when “Rogue One” premieres in 2016, adding more fuel to the “Rogue One” speculation fire!

Stay tuned for more details about this episode as soon as they get revealed .

Star Wars Rebels: Past, Present, And Future Panel Recap

While we were broadcasting live from the podcast stage at Celebration Anaheim (Which you can watch right here!) there was another panel taking place about Rebels called, “Star Wars Rebels: Past, Present, And Future.” Since we couldn’t attend that panel, here is a recap of some of the highlights and new info revealed by Dave Filoni, Carrie Beck and Henry Gilroy, courtesy of StarWars.com’s live blog:

Three new clips were shown. The first clip featured the return of Hondo Ohnaka and Azmorigan from Rebels season 1! Also mention of Lando Calrissian.

Hondo is wrinkly and old but still has his same sense of humor.

In the second clip it seems like the b-wing is new to the crew. They have not seen one before.

The little Mon Calamari has a name: Quarrie. (Named after legendary Star Wars concept artist Ralph McQuarrie)

Everyone was very excited to get Clone Wars fans more invested in Rebels.

Filoni drew a picture of Captain Rex fishing. This is what Filoni’s grandfather would be doing in his retirement days.

Third clip is shown featuring Captain Rex! There were a few clones in that clip. Filoni says, “Wolffe is back.”

This was not Lothal in the clip. We’re going to other planets!

Episode count confirmed for season two: 22.

The beauty of more episodes is exploring back stories. For example, Zeb’s back story and Sabine’s Mandalorian past.

“Nobody I know who dyes their hair keeps it that way forever.” -Filoni on Sabine’s new look. Her armor will be completely different.

No air dates have been nailed down yet for Season two.

Beck says it is likely you will see something in the summer!

Celebration Anaheim was a big weekend for “Star Wars Rebels,” with two panels, an amazing trailer, and the season two premiere, I’m excited as I ever been for the series, and I can’t wait for season two to begin!
