Titles For The Next 5 Episodes Of Star Wars Rebels Revealed

The return of “Star Wars Rebels” is almost here with the airing of “A Princess on Lothal” next Wednesday January 20th, but today we also got the reveal of five more episodes that are set to air over the next two months that give us some hints as to what to expect later this season!

You can check out the episode titles below, via Star Wars Underworld:

2×13 “The Protector of Concord Dawn” airs on January 27th
2× 14 “Legacy of Lasan” airs on 3 February
    2 × 15 “The Call” airs on February 10th
    2 × 16 “Homecoming” airs on February 17th
2 × 17 “The Honorable Ones” airs on February 24th

“The Protector of Concord Dawn” should sound familiar, as it is a planet that we’ve heard mentioned in “Clone Wars.” It was the home world of Rako Hardeen (The bounty hunter Obi Wan went undercover as) and in the old EU, it was Jango Fett’s home planet. So I’m guessing this episode should be the one where we see Sabine return home to Mandalore as we saw in the season two trailer, given Concord Dawn’s close connection to Mandalore in the past. And “Legacy of Lasan” sounds like it will focus on Zeb, which is an episode that has been a long time coming for this season!

Other than those two episodes, it looks like we’ll have a few weeks to speculate on what’s in store for us in the second half of “Star Wars Rebels” season two!

    “A Princess On Lothal” Preview

With the exciting announcement of Princess Leia appearing on the next new episode of “Star Wars Rebels” earlier today, Lucasfilm has now sent us over the official preview for her debut episode “A Princess on Lothal”!

You can check out the official description of the episode and some images below, as well as the first clip from the episode where we Leia meet Kanan and Ezra!

–Young Princess Leia to make her first appearance on the series–

Princess Leia, the unstoppable Rebel hero featured in both the original Star Wars trilogy as well as the recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens, makes her “Star Wars Rebels” debut when an all-new episode of “Star Wars Rebels” airs WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20 (9:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney XD.

Taking place three years before the events of A New Hope, Leia is introduced as a young leader on her way to becoming the strong, more resolute character portrayed in the original trilogy.

“One of the complex challenges of depicting Leia in ‘Star Wars Rebels’ is that we have to remind the audience that she is part of the Empire at this point,” says Executive Producer / Supervising Director Dave Filoni. “She doesn’t believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost as a double agent. The Empire sees her as a privileged princess who runs mercy missions to wayward worlds, but in truth she is much stronger and more dangerous than they imagine.”

Appearing in her only episode of the season, the young Princess Leia is voiced by Julie Dolan, who also lent her vocal talents to the Rebel leader featured in Disney’s Star Tours attraction. Her character’s appearance in “Star Wars Rebels” portrays the beginnings of the seasoned general we meet again in The Force Awakens, her royal heritage all but eclipsed by her hard-won military stature.

“There really is no other character quite like her,” says Filoni. “And to quote The Force Awakens’ Lor San Tekka, ‘She’ll always be royalty to me.’”

Episode logline: An aide to Bail Organa (Princess Leia Organa) is sent to Lothal with ships for the rebel fleet, but an Imperial lockdown forces the rebels to create a new plan to steal the vehicles.

Princess Leia To Appear On The Next Episode Of Star Wars Rebels!

We’ve been teased by Dave Filoni that another big character would be showing up this season on “Star Wars Rebels,” and now we know who that character is. And it definitely is a big one! TV Insider has the exclusive reveal that Princess Leia will be appearing in the next new episode of Rebels titled “A Princess in Lothal,” and will be played by actress Julie Dolan, who played Leia in the mobile game “Star Wars: Uprising.”

Here is what Dave Filoni told TV Insider about bring Leia into the series:
    [blockquote cite=]

“We thought we had an opportunity to show her learning to be a leader, experimenting with the personality that becomes the stronger more resolute character you see in A New Hope. One of the complex challenges of depicting Leia in Rebels is that we have to remind the audience that at this point she is part of the Empire. She doesn’t believe in the Empire, but she is acting the part, almost a double agent.”

“I get asked by fans about certain characters all the time,” Filoni told us back in September. “We’ve been pretty good at bringing them back, not just because people want them, but because we have an important story to tell with them, and how things cross over.”

TV Insider also revealed that season two will pick up again with “A Princess in Lothal” on January 20th, and said that this episode will be Leia’s only appearance this season, but doesn’t know if she will show up in future episodes in the series.

This is really exciting! Not only because Princess Leia is coming to “Star Wars Rebels,” but also because of the fact we get to see her as part of the Empire, which sounds very cool to me.

We won’t have to wait long for “Star Wars Rebels” return, but knowing that Princess Leia will be in the next episode is definitely gonna make the wait until next week feel a lot longer!
