Description For The First Episode of Star Wars Resistance Revealed

This summer is already going by fast, and that means we’re getting closer to seeing the latest “Star Wars” animated series, “Star Wars Resistance” in the fall! But even though we’re getting closer to its fall premiere, we’re still waiting for some official updates on the new series from Lucasfilm. But as we continue to wait, the guys over at Jedi-Bibliothek have gotten their hands on a German Disney press release that gives us the description of the first episode of “Star Wars Resistance” titled, “The Recruit.”

The description was first revealed yesterday via a tweet by Jedi-Bibliothek, which has since been deleted, but you can still check out the description for it below, via The Star Wars Underworld:

Resistance fighter Poe Dameron tasks young pilot Kazuda “Kaz” Xiono with spying on the First Order. At the time, little was known about the secretive organization and its strength.

In order to fulfill his mission, Kaz travels to the space station Colossus, which is being used by many ships as a port to refuel and do repairs. However, there are also dangerous races taking place there. After Kaz bragged with his piloting skills at his arrive there, he is soon drawn into one of the races…

Also revealed in that press release was that the first season will consist of twenty two episodes, and that the series looks to premiere on October 13th in Germany as a two-parter.

As we’re about to head into August, hopefully it won’t be much longer until Lucasfilm starts revealing the premiere details for “Star Wars Resistance” in other areas. But it’s probably a safe bet to assume that it will be pretty close to the German premiere in October, as “Star Wars Rebels” made it’s debut that same month with a two-parter as well.

The Clone Wars Is Back! New Episodes Coming In 2019

“The Clone Wars” had its 10th anniversary panel at Comic-Con today, and it ended with the best surprise we could possibly get!

“The Clone Wars” is back! At the end of the panel Dave Filoni said he had a surprise to say thank you to the fans for their continued support of the series, and then showed the awesome trailer that revealed the long anticipated Siege of Mandalore arc is being completed, and that “The Clone Wars” has been saved! You can check out the reveal trailer in the video above.

But that’s not the only good news. StarWars.com has also revealed that there will be 12 new episodes coming, and that it will be coming to Disney’s new streaming service in 2019!

Here is what Dave Filoni had to say about the return of “The Clone Wars,” in a brief interview he did with StarWars.com:

StarWars.com: Did you ever think this would be possible? That we’d get here?

    Dave Filoni: No. I didn’t, I really didn’t.

StarWars.com: What can you say about the fans’ enthusiasm over the years and, really, their role in making this happen?

Dave Filoni: Well, thankfully, their enthusiasm is relentless. Their love of these characters and stories hasn’t diminished. I actually think their voice has gotten louder as the years have gone by. It’s been very humbling to have their support and to have people continue to hashtag me, “#SaveTheCloneWars.”

StarWars.com: To you personally, what does it mean to get to finish it?

Dave Filoni: Personally, it’s very rewarding. Any opportunity to put the final pieces of the story in place is meaningful as a storyteller. I’m happy for the opportunity to define these things and the end of this part of the Clone War. It also makes me reflect on all the people that I got to work with over the years. It reinforces the things I learned from George. It reminds me of the important elements that go into making Star Wars. So, it’s nice on several levels, and I think for the crew that’s still here that worked on Clone Wars, they feel that, as well.

StarWars.com: What do you think it is, 10 years later now, that made this show resonate so much with people, and made it stick with them, and gave it the strength to come back?

Dave Filoni: I think the variety of stories was a big part of it. You also can’t underestimate how important it was that so many people grew up with the show. Clone Wars was a piece of Star Wars that older fans might have, initially, not taken seriously because it was animated, but that wasn’t a barrier for kids. They loved the clones and identified with them. Ahsoka gave kids a character that was like them — someone their age that was experiencing life’s challenges and learning along the way. Plus, having a new episode each week really allowed us to explore what was going on with the new and legacy characters in a dynamic way, including Anakin and Obi-Wan. I think the stories left an indelible impression and, of course, George knew it would. He always knew.

This is literally a dream come true. I always held out hope that we would get The Siege of Mandalore arc completed one day, and that alone would have been enough for me. But the fact we’re getting 12 episodes total is more than I could have asked for.

As a fan who’s been there since the beginning with “The Clone Wars” movie, I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of this amazing series.
