The videos give us a look at the red carpet premiere that was held at Celebration VI, with interviews from the cast and crew, as well a scene from the premiere episode that features Darth Maul and Savage Opress.

You can check out the clip of the season 5 premiere in the above video, and below you can check out the video and photos from the red carpet premiere at Celebration VI.

The Clone Wars Season 5 Promo Image: Who Will Fall?

We’re now just a little under two weeks away from the season 5 premiere of “The Clone Wars,” and to wet our appetites even more for the new season, Lucasfilm has releases this cool promo image for season 5 titled “Who Will Fall?

This image was first seen at Celebration VI, but now that it’s been released for everyone to see, there will no doubt be plenty of speculation as to which of the characters in the image will “fall” this upcoming season. I personally think there will be several characters from this image that we will see meet their fate. And while the word fall doesn’t necessarily mean death for certain characters, I don’t think every character in this image is going to survive to season 6. But regardless of who survives, we’re definitely in for a game changing season, and I just can’t wait for it to begin! Only a few more days left!

The Clone Wars To Air In Chronological Order in Syndication

During the original airings of the first three seasons of “The Clone Wars,” the episodes during those seasons had a habit of jumping all over the series’ timeline, where we would sometimes see episodes in season three that were actually prequels to episodes from season 1. While this my have caused for some confusion as to when certain stories take place in the overall Clone Wars timeline, we will finally be able to see the story of the Clone Wars play out in chronological order, when the series starts airing in syndication this fall.

Over at the official Star Wars Blog, Leland Chee (keeper of the Holocron at Lucasfilm) revealed that when the series starts airing in syndication, the first episode to be shown will be “Cat And Mouse” from season 2, which is the episode that takes place first chronologically in “The Clone Wars” timeline. It will then be followed by “Hidden Enemy” from season 1, and then “Clone Cadets” and “Supply Lines” from season 3.

I think this is a great way for the series to air in syndication, as it will be a fresh way to watch these episodes on T.V. again, and it will be nice to see just when exactly all these episodes took place in the overall Clone Wars timeline.

Be sure to check out the official Star Wars blog for more information on “The Clone Wars” timeline with these episodes, as well as information as to how much time has passed since the end of “Attack of the Clones,” to when the first story of “The Clone Wars” series takes place. Also be sure to check back with official Star Wars blog for future updates on “The Clone Wars” timeline, when more episodes continue to air in syndication.

Special Star Wars: The Clone Wars Darth Maul Directors Cut DVD Annouced!

On September 11th 2012, a special 88-minuet directors cut of the 4-part Darth Maul arc from season 4 of “The Clone Wars,” will be coming to DVD exclusively at Target stores! Here is the official announcement from Lucasfilm:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars – Darth Maul Returns

    Exclusive 88-minute Directors cut

[blockquote cite=]The dramatic return of Darth Maul has been one of the most talked about developments in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and the evil Sith Lord will continue to wreak havoc in the forthcoming Season Five of the animated series. Witness his resurrection in a special feature-length Directors’ Cut presentation of his animated debut, coming exclusively to DVD at Target stores on September 11th.[/blockquote]

Watching the whole Darth Maul arc cut together as one feature length presentation sounds like a great way to watch these episodes! But since this set won’t be released on Blu-Ray, those wondering if the complete season 4 Blu-Ray set will contain the directors cut of these episodes, it has been confirmed in the latest issue of Star Wars Insider that the season 4 Blu-Ray set will include several directors cut episodes, including some from the Darth Maul arc. Though I don’t believe the episodes will be edited together as one feature length presentation like this DVD set will.

This DVD set looks to be a great way to kick off a month of great Clone Wars action, as we eagerly await the season premiere on September 29th!
