    Agent Kallus Has Been Revealed!

We know The Inquisitor is going to be main villain for “Star Wars Rebels,” but we also knew from the toys and trailer about another villain who’s going to be in the series, the Imperial Officer Agent Kallus. Well today the character was officially unveiled over at the LA Times Hero Complex in an article and introduction video, where we learn that actor David Oyelowo will be voicing the villain. You can check out the introduction video above, along with some words about Agent Kallus from Dave Filoni from the LA Times Hero Complex:

“We definitely wanted to capture that ’70s feeling that was so strong in ‘A New Hope,’” says Filoni. “Art director Kilian Plunkett and I looked at a lot of reference to try and make that influence fit into ‘Rebels.’ At one point we had [Rebel pilot] Zeb in bell bottoms.”

“We actually had David read for several different parts,” Filoni said. “We knew we wanted to use him, but weren’t quite sure where.”

It’s great to have another character reveal from “Star Wars Rebels,” and this time have it be for one of the villains. Be sure to check out the full article about the Agent Kallus reveal over at the LA Times Hero Complex.

Chopper Comes To Life In A New Video From StarWars.com

Chopper was the first character we got to meet from “Star Wars Rebels,” and now he has been brought to life thanks to the R2-D2 Builders Club. We get to see how that was done in this cool new video from the newly revamped StarWars.com,  showing how the new droid was brought to life and the reaction from the crew of “Star Wars Rebels” when they saw him for the first time. Be sure to watch the video all the way to the end, as we get a brand new clip from the series showing Chopper causing trouble on the Ghost!

The Empire. The Rebellion. The Beginning. STAR WARS REBELS, Lucasfilm’s highly anticipated animated series detailing the start of the fight against the evil Empire, is coming this fall – but fans can get a big sneak peek at San Diego Comic-Con.

Lucasfilm’s special panel, The Heroes of Star Wars Rebels (Thursday, 7/24/14, 6:00pm – 7:00pm, Room: 6BCF), will feature executive producer Dave Filoni, as well as the first panel appearance by executive producer Simon Kinberg and stars Freddie Prinze, Jr., Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar, and Taylor Gray. They’ll discuss making the show and will debut several exclusive reveals from the upcoming series for fans in attendance.

Star Wars Rebels continues the epic tradition of the legendary Star Wars saga with all-new exciting, action-packed adventures.   It is a dark time in the galaxy, as the evil Galactic Empire tightens its grip of power from world to world.  As the series begins, Imperial forces have occupied a remote planet, ruling with an iron fist and ruining the lives of its people.  The clever and motley crew of the starship Ghost is amongst a select few who are brave enough to stand against the Empire. Together, this ragtag group will face threatening new villains, encounter colorful adversaries, embark on thrilling adventures and become heroes with the power to ignite a rebellion.

Scheduled to premiere in the fall as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, it will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.

French Star Wars Rebels Trailer Shows The Return Of A Classic Character

A brief low-quality trailer in French for Star Wars Rebels has made it’s way online, and in it we get the conformation that a classic character is returning! It should be considered a spoiler if you want to remain completely surprised for the premiere, but I have a feeling we’ll be getting an official announcement of this character’s appearance in the show soon if he’s being put in the trailers.

The trailer also says it will premiere in October, but we don’t know if that’s just for the premiere in France, or if that’s when it will premiere everywhere. We should hopefully be getting some official announcements about this soon, as we’re heading into the middle of summer, and just a few short months away from it’s fall premiere.
