Awesome New Season 5 Clip Debuts At Comic Con!

Today at Comic Con was The Clone Wars panel, and Dave Filloni didn’t disappoint the fans by showing some scenes from Season 5! IGN has the exclusive look at one amazing sequence that was shown at the panel, which gives us a great look at Obi Wan, the Death Watch, and even Darth Sidious! You can check out the trailer here at

    IGN

Besides the clip being awesome, it does raise some interesting questions. Why is Obi Wan teaming up with the Death Watch? Why are the Death Watch fighting each other? And the most intriguing question to me, how are Sidious and Maul involved?

Regardless of when these questions will be answered, this one clip has made this Death Watch arc my most anticipated story for Season 5 so far!

Mark Hamill Returns To Celebration VI!

The one and only Mark Hamill will be attending Celebration VI! Here is the official announcement from StarWarsCelebration.com:

[blockquote cite=]Best known for: Luke Skywalker in original Star Wars Trilogy and Joker in Batman: The Animated Series
Appearing On: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

The actor behind Luke Skywalker is set to appear on stage at Celebration VI in Orlando this August, as well as meet fans and sign in the autograph hall.

Best known for playing a young moisture farmer destined for greatness in the original Star Wars Trilogy, Mark Hamill has had a busy and varied career. Since appearing at Luke Skywalker in George Lucas’s blockbuster space opera, Hamill has established himself as an icon in the voice-acting industry, most notably as the Joker in the Emmy Award-winning Batman: The Animated Series. Beloved by fans for his manic portrayal of the Dark Knight’s arch-nemesis, Hamill has voiced the character in a number of spin-off series including Justice League and Superman: The Animated Series, as well as several videogames.

Other iconic voice performances include Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky and Nausicaa: The Valley of the Wind, the Wing Commander videogame series, The Batman, The Incredible Hulk, The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man: The Animated Series, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Futurama, Robot Chicken and Metalocalypse.

Hamill is also the co-writer of a five-issue Dark Horse Comics series entitled The Black Pearl, a dark, edgy thriller that subverts the notion of what it means to be a costumed superhero. Hamill plans to direct a movie of the series based on a screenplay that he has co-written. [/blockquote]

While Mark Hamill is always good for making time and appearing at several Celebrations, getting a chance to meet him this time will no doubt be a highlight of Celebration VI! Fans attending Celebration VI definitely wont want to miss out on the chance of seeing, and meeting the iconic actor.

A new ongoing Star Wars comic was announced today (simply titled Star Wars) and it looks to be taking things back to basics, as it will take place in just the continuity of A New Hope. The new series will be written by Brian Wood, illustrated Carlos D’Anda, and the cover done by Alex Ross.

More information on the comic can be found over at io9.com, where they have an exclusive sneak peak at the title, as well as an interview with Dark Horse editor Randy Stradley.

An Hour’s Worth of Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Footage

It seems like every few months or so, some footage of the now canceled Star Wars: Battlefront 3 makes it way online, and rumors start to surface about if the game is still in development. Sadly though, the game is still canceled, and is still not in development by any other studio as for I know. But even though we will probably never get a chance to play Battlefront 3, Youtube user Borman 18 has just provided an hour’s worth of new footage of the game (as well as commentary) which gives us our best look at what we could have expected from Battlefront 3 if it was finished. The footage shown is when the game was in the pre-alpha stage, and is nowhere near what the final product would have looked liked. But still, watching this footage just makes you wish we could’ve gotten a third installment of this great series.
