Full Schedule of Celebration VI Panels & Events!

Celebration VI is getting closer and closer, and it’s always best to have your days planned out before the event happens so you can fully enjoy it. Well now that the full schedule has been released, you can now plan your days accordingly, and choose what panels and events are must sees for you, and ones that you maybe might have to skip. While it will no doubt be hard to attend every panel and event you might want to see, hopefully everyone will be able to use the schedule to get the most enjoyment out of Celebration VI. Celebration Premiere of Star Wars in 60 Minutes

Description: The hit romp through the Star Wars saga is back at Celebration, but this time Patrick Gorman and his troupe of inexhaustible actors have expanded their original Star Wars in 30 Minutes, which featured comic and quick renditions of Episodes IV, V, and VI, to include Episodes I, II and III. Scheduled for each of the four days of Celebration, it’s an entertainment event to mark in your show planner.

Japanese Star Wars Vegetable Carving

Description: Okitsugu Kado of the Japanese Star Wars fan community will demonstrate the art of vegetable carving, showing attendees how to create stunning Star Wars edible creations.

Vintage Bootlegs: The Outer Realm

The Ultimate Action Figure Collection

Description: Join celebrated author and collector Steve Sansweet as he discusses his forthcoming book, Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection, which gathers every unique character ever released in the 3 3/4 inch line. He will be joined by the book’s editor, Kjersti Egerdahl, the designer, Rosanna Brockley, Rancho Obi-Wan archivist Anne Neumann, and photographer/collectors Dan Curto and Paul Harrison to talk about the surprises, discoveries, and challenges of cataloging 35 years of characters. Sansweet is the chief executive of Rancho Obi-Wan, a nonprofit museum that houses the world’s largest private collection of Star Wars memorabilia. He has authored fifteen other books on the Star Wars saga, including the original Star Wars Action Figure Archive from 1999.

Cast and Crew Items

Description: Since the early days of pre-production for A New Hope to the present day, collectibles issued exclusively for the crew and cast of the Star Wars films have been in high demand by collectors. These items including T-shirts, caps, paperweights, greeting cards, jackets, and patches that were never available to the public and are extremely scarce. There is little documentation on what was produced, and new discoveries are made all the time. We will give an overview of collecting cast and crew memorabilia, cover where to find these items, and show some of the most sought-after prizes. With Gus Lopez and Duncan Jenkins.

An Evening with Kevin Smith

Description: Since the start of Celebration II, autograph collecting has become a huge hobby. Celebration VI has over 30 Star Wars guests covering all 6 movies and The Clone Wars, who are here to sign for fans of all ages. This panel will explore the hobby of autograph collecting and will cover key aspects for new enthusiasts. Corey Perry and Steve Grad have both amassed huge collections of Star Wars autographs and will share the best way to obtain, store, and collect autographs. This discussion will also highlight some amazing autographs in their personal collections, share good ideas of what to get signed, and detail the pitfalls of what to not do.

Ralph McQuarrie Retrospective

Description: Don’t miss the premiere screening of the Ralph McQuarrie Retrospective. Dave Filoni, Supervising Director of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Jon Berg, modelmaker from the Star Wars movies will introduce this new film, created to debut at Celebration VI. Legends of the entertainment industry remember McQuarrie and his work and influence on the industry, their careers, and on the Star Wars movies in particular. McQuarrie’s concept art is credited with helping George Lucas get the green light to produce the first Star Wars movie, and generations of artists and moviemakers were inspired by this late artist’s work.

Laying Down Tracks: A Different Way to Write Your Novel Time: 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Location: Star Wars University (W300)
Description: Most people writing their first few novels start with an outline, or just a sense of how the early chapters should progress, and then write straight through to the end. But that’s not necessarily the best method for all novelists. In this seminar, New York Times bestselling author Aaron Allston (X-Wing: Mercy Kill) discusses an alternate method of novel writing intended to capitalize on each writer’s individual strengths and passions. This method helps bypass some causes of writer’s block, invokes “flow state” writing, and prevents the sort of discouragement that can kill a novel. The Unseen Warwick Davis

Description: It’s not all glamour in the movie industry, as veteran actor Warwick Davis will be quick to tell you. Join him for a look behind the scenes of some of Davis’s many movies – from those in which he is unrecognizable behind makeup, to those that show his face, like Willow. The star of the current hit series Life’s Too Short will share backstage experiences from his role of Wicket in Return of the Jedi to the present day.

Star Wars Obscure Character Face-Off

Description: Join fan moviemakers Clare Grant, Rileah Vanderbilt (Saber 1 and 2), Eliot Sirota (Unlimited Power) and J.C. Reifenberg (Hughes the Force) as they discuss the how and why behind making Star Wars fan movies. Get some tips on how to produce your own fan movie without breaking the bank or needing help from ILM! Action Figure Customization

Description: Have you ever wanted an action figure the toy companies did not make, maybe of an obscure character, or one of your own creation, or even of yourself in the Star Wars Universe? Action figure customizers make their own figures by using pieces of existing figures and sculpting their own pieces from scratch. Come learn more about this interesting hobby that is great for kids and seasoned hobbyists. Guests will see examples of amazing creations and how they were made, plus get tips and tricks from some of the top names in the craft. A few lucky attendees will walk away with a unique action figure made by the panel members. Talk about a con exclusive!

Return of the Ewok: Warwick Davis

Description: Film and television actor Warwick Davis has been well known to Star Wars fans since his career-starting performance as Wicket the Ewok in Return of the Jedi, and for portraying the title character in Willow. Recently seen in the comedy sitcom Life’s Too Short by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, Davis will have no shortage of entertaining experiences to share with the audience.

The Celebration VI Star Wars Tattoo Show

Description: It just wouldn’t be Celebration without the Star Wars tattoo show and competition, a tradition since 2005. Be amazed by the best Star Wars tattoos in different categories, and see how your ratings compare with the judges. The Star Wars Tattoo Show is judged by Shane Turgeon (Author of The Force in the Flesh); Rob Dukes (frontman of Exodus); Randy Stradley (Star Wars Editor, Dark Horse Comics); and Amy Allen (Aayla Secura, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith).

Description: The man with the hat is finally coming to Blu-ray, making it the perfect time to revisit the adventures of Indiana Jones. Description: The hit romp through the Star Wars saga is back at Celebration, but this time Patrick Gorman and his troupe of inexhaustible actors have expanded their original Star Wars in 30 Minutes, which featured comic and quick renditions of Episodes IV, V, and VI, to include Episodes I, II and III. Scheduled for each of the four days of Celebration, it’s an entertainment event to mark in your show planner.

Using the Force to Reach Reluctant Readers

Description: Allan Callaci, Reading Enrichment Coordinator at Paul A Biane Library in Rancho Cucamonga, California, will share how educators, librarians, and parents can use the passion kids and teens have for all things Star Wars to help them learn to read. Callaci will present a host of Star Wars tools and resources including books, programming ideas, and lesson plans. Look for a possible appearance by a special Jedi Master guest.

Nordic Star Wars Collectibles

As you can see, there are a lot of cool things planned for Celebration VI! Some great guest are planned, lots of cool Clone Wars panels are going to be held, and of course, The Frontlines 100th Episode panel!
